 Tips for playing Golf in TenerifeREMEMBER
Most Tenerife golf courses do NOT allow METAL spikes, this maintains the superior condition of the course for future players.
Pack a full change of clothes and your golfing shoes within your hand luggage, suitcases and golfer's bags can occasionally go missing.
Should your golfing bag and clubs go missing, you can hire them on most courses, not a perfect situation but at least with your own comfortable shoes you should be able to avoid blisters.
If you really want to choose the time you play, book at least four months in advance or you could be disappointed.
Tenerife golf clubs insist on handicap certificates. If you haven't got a certificate, you need to put that right before you leave or you may struggle to get a game.
If there isn't time to get a certificate then you must get a written confirmation from your local pro or club secretary, stating that your playing ability is between 0 and 24. That will be accepted by many courses.
Prepare yourself for your Tenerife golf holiday, a 4 hour flight and a night out on the town is not good preparation for you to play on some of the best courses in the world, do yourself and your competitor's justice and save the celebrations until the end of the final day.
